Common Questions
-
Have clean, wrinkle free clothes that you’re comfortable in and expresses who you are and what you’re offering
-
Try for earth tone colours, nothing neon or vibrant
-
-
Bring items you may need to freshen up (makeup, brush, etc.)
-
Have your script or talking points memorized and rehearsed before hand. 1.5 hours is enough time to shoot what’s needed for you video but can go quickly if the time isn’t used effectively
-
When preparing your script rehearse it and record yourself with your phone. Do you say ‘um’ or ‘like’ a lot? Are there any sayings us overuse?
-
-
The talking head video is super common on websites and marketing campaigns
-
The talking head video is where the speaker sits or stands in an interview style while either looking at the camera or off at an interviewer
-
While talking the speaker will either deliver their script
-
The b-roll section will include shots of your offering cut into the video at relevant/random points to break up the talking head section
-
These videos can range from 1-5 minutes (ideally sitting around 3 minutes)
-
The cinematic b-roll video is achievable in this setting but is usually shorter than the talking head video as shots of the offering makes up the entire visual component of the video
-
This video will still contain and audio component of the client speaking about their offering, but they are not visible as the voice plays over the background music
-
You want your b-roll to be relevant to your offering as this will give a visual showcase to what you’re about
-
Playing singing bowls, providing reiki, art supplies and creating a piece for art therapy, etc.
-
B-roll can also be something else that helps showcase what you're about as well
-
Into yoga or meditation? Do that on the deck at The Landing
-
Have a strong community aspect to your business? Bring a friend or two for your segment and sit in community while the camera captures the experience
-
-
Things that require explanations that are not in your voiceover/talking head audio
-
Things that aren’t relevant to you or your offering
-
Items that require a long setup time
-
Yes, but with the additional travel and shoot time that
would go above and beyond the offering price and can be discussed off the call
If I can fit it in my 1.5 hour time frame, can I have two 1-2 minute videos?
-
Unfortunately, no, it may fit withing that 1.5-hour time frame but that requires two separate edits
How many editing revisions are included?
-
Two editing revisions are included in the Grow Your Worth offering
What if I want to change what I said in my interview?
-
If it is a talking head video, the audio and video component needs to be reshot, which will be an extra cost - to attempt to prevent this we will do multiple takes of the interview
-
If the interview is in the voiceover style, it can be re-recorded but will need to be done at an extra cost - to attempt to prevent this we will do multiple takes of the interview
Can I do this offering outside of the shoot dates?
-
Yes, but the venue will be your responsibility and the cost will be to the client and not the responsibility of Sacred Row Productions
